I spent last weekend at Isolation Lakes. This is a shot of the lower lake taken with my damaged Shen Hao PTB 4x5 on E100VS. I think I used a 110mm lens but it might have been the 75mm. I had a memory once, don't recall what happened to it.
I used Nik Sharpener Pro 3.0 to prepare this image. I'm not sure I'm happy with the software. Do the background mountains seem soft?
BTW, thanks for all your suggestions regarding trekking poles. I ended up with REI branded poles made by Komperdell. Now that I'm getting the hang of them, they make a huge difference.
Cheers,

The flowers weren't ready yet. In another week or so small cascades like this will be stunning.
I like the scene and comp in #1, doesnt look soft but the light's a tad flat. #2 is real pretty, but appears to have a bit of a cool colorcast, needs to be a bit warmer i think.
I find the light in #1 to be more sudued than 'flat', and think that it complements the scene well.
A nice, tranquil mountain image.
You're right...I'd love to see #2 with more flowers.
Sharpness of both look great to me.

I like #1 for sure. I wonder how that would look at sunrise or sunset.
#1 makes me want to go backpacking right now. Nice soft light. The sharpness of the mountains might be thrown off a bit by the edge halo. Not a big deal in a JPEG though. I have all kinds of plugins, but still use the Adamus sharpening technique.
