Hi Major,
A very nice image indeed and it shows those long ears off perfectly.
I like the portrait format here which suits the scene very well, with the way the grasses extend up the frame.

Lovely shot, nice portrait with habitat thrown in. What is that between his ears? Is it a fly or the head of a piece of grass?

Fly Peter. This evening has been pretty warm and they have been out and about.

Great pose, the animal seems totally unconcerned by your presence.

Good stuff.

I love all these hare shots - quite envious really. This is another cracker. I'm with John - maybe just a little bright on my monitor.

Thanks all think I did over do it a bit in a bid to make the animal jump off the page.
Hope the second is much better. :wavey:

Hi Major
The second for me with a hint more contrast.

You certainly keep pulling rabbits out of hats with this species!! Wish I knew your secret. A very endearing image.

Cheers,
Chris

PS. Nice to see the fly being left in!!!

The timing to capture the raised foot conveys a sense of motion. Really like this one Major.

Very nice indeed Major, almost has a 'painted' feel to it.. I could easily see an artist using this to create a stunning canvas.

No secret to it all Chris.
I rushed home last night made the fatal mistake of showering and applying deoderent(Dont do this)and then rushing out to have a go.
Certain parts of the airfield have now been cut as the grasses were getting really tall. This created a wonderful ride around some of the fields. I positioned myself on a corner so that I could view any Hares approaching from both directions. This one wa ok but anything coming from the opposite must have been picking up my scent. There is nothing more exciting than seeing one of these coming towards you and gradually getting bigger and bigger in the frame. Its a bit of a B when they suddenly stop and turn round and go back in the opposite direction then you know they have picked you up. Just at the minute because the crops are all quite tall just pick a like a headland or ride where they will travel up and down. Lots of young Hares about at the moment so all a bit green behind the ears  and there seems to be better chances to get them.
I have to say there is nothing quite like laying in the freshly cut grass and just observing these wild animals.

Lovely image Major. Think I prefer the first one but minus the fly - sorry just being picky. I would be over the moon to get an image like this.
