I have just got back from a trip to the Shetland Isles and some of the remoter islands of the coast of Lewis. This picture of a Male Golden Plover was taken at Hermaness, Unst and is one of my favourite places to visit in the UK. Its seabird cliffs are spectacular and the Moorland supports some great birds like Dunlin and Great Skua. I have wanted to photograph Goldies for years and so I am very pleased with the images I got of this difficult species.
