Small crop from behind and below the fawn.
Hi,
I was just processing this one so I thought I'd upload it as well.
Isn't she gorgeous. If this isn't one of the prettiest mammals around then I don't know what is
I spotted the doe with her twins from a distance, they were ambling along together,in no great rush and stopping for a bite to eat every now and then. They were obviously heading somewhere specific and I had an idea where
I doubled back and made my way to what I thought was their destination. I knealt down quietly behind the tripod and waited. My hunch paid off and within ten minutes out trotted this beautiful fawn, exploring and having a quick munch on some Silver Birch leaves.
Whilst waiting I decided to switch from the 20D to the 5D, for the wider view. as I was actually anticipating getting a shot of the doe and fawns.
Shame I didn't keep the 20D on, as it would have resulted in a frame filling portrait of the fawn. No big deal and I was still thrilled to get a good clear view of the fawn.
Have to agree Justin, she is really beautiful. Very nice composition too, and lovely eye contact, although I do find the f/g bush a little distracting.
Another gorgeous deer shot Justin. If you have a go at the foreground greenery then maybe its worth some blurring of the leaves top right that are in focus?

The bush is a bit of a pain but doesn't bother me that much.
