Wide-angle bear.
As discussed previously, it's not easy to get something fresh from well-visited sites especially without extraordinary conditions. I had little luck in that department but did manage a few wide-angle shots that I thought worked OK. As you can see from the look in the bear's eyes, he's not entirely comfortable being that close.

Canon 5dII, 17-40mm lens, ISO400.

Hi Pete

Saw this shot on your site,a bit different from the norm, agree with your comments about the eyes,a bit unsure of whats ahead of him but I think this tells a seperate story! I like it!

It looks pretty good although I get the impression he is not too keen on you taking a picture. Overall it seems to work pretty well.

Great shot, but I don't think I would try it with an animal that dangerous.
Well done.

HE's not comfortable?!
I like it very much, although I prefer it with a little less sky showing.

Don't think I would be that comfortable with that big beastie! A stunning image IMHO, with a lovely light and good detail and comp.

Would like to see these one day, they are lovely really
