Captured these elk in Rocky Mountain National Park this morning. Did not realize it was a free weekend! Thanks for looking.

Really impressive photographs - this stuff is hard to come by and you did a great job composing these shots. Through your images, I feel like I "know" this elk. Perfect execution.

Boy he has a beautiful coat. Last time I was there they were all shedding and matted. Nat is right, you can see his personality, especially in the 2nd image.

Nice!
The clarity of the eye in the first image really makes this one special.
The included flowers are an extra nice touch.

Very nice shots. You make it look so easy. But I saw a few 6x6 up on trail ridge yesterday - maybe one of them was this bull. They were right by the road and were close enough for me to take a try at them. I have nothing like what you have. Very well done composition and DOF.

Dan, Two Wonderful shots! You've managed to get such "attitude" in both of them. The flowers in the 2nd one add so much to the shot.

Dan, these are terrific! The light, colors, detail are great....and the moments you captured of this elk are priceless....sounds a bit like a MasterCard commercial!
