There is a rather large population of House Sparrows living in my neighbourhood. Last week a few young ones visited my garden, but unfortunately one of them became prey to my cat. This little one survived.
Nikon D80 @ 420 mm, iso 200, F 6.3, 1/400 sec on a beanbag.
We still have plenty around - they were nesting in the eaves and nearly got roasted by a blow torch before the painter saw them Nice image by the way - I would crop a little from the left if it were mine.
Nice pic Sandra but I am sorry
I think all cats should be ----.....
They have depleted the poulations of more species than any natural predator in this country.
My wife loves them (so we have big probs ! )

Interesting view of this little one Sandra but intimate nonetheless. A little more off of the LHS would work in my opinion, shame didn't get a little more eye contact.

Over here we haven't many of them left.

Like this one Sandra, like the green mush too, shame about the other fledgling.
Andy...
Great stuff.

Love the image and the green f/g adds a little extra something special to a gorgeous, often overlooked little spadge. A pleasure to view.
