Trumpet gentian sp. (- I think due to the longer flower stem distinguishing it fro the Southern Gentian sp. but I cannot get closer than this as an i.d. due to my limited knowledge). Stubai mountains, Innsbruck Austria.
Oly E-3, 50mm macro, hand held and full frame. Contrast reduced in processing by using an inverted & de-saturated layer as a 50% overlay layer.

Fabulous plant, I have seen it often in southern France and still cannot get over that deep, deep blue. What aperture did you use to get so much in focus?
Sorry, I usually give better exposure specs - iso 100, 1/25s at F16. This is where the smaller 4/3rds sensor sometimes has its advantage - greater depth of field for this type of semi macro work

Good to see these in the wild. A beautiful blue indeed.
