The clear blue skies and annoying wind wreaked havoc on my landscape photo plans, which made concentrating on Mt. Evans goats that much more appealing -- to the tune of around 5-6 gigs worth of photos! Anyways, I got a few shots off. Here's one from up high in Mosquito Gulch in the Mosquito Range, where, ironically, there were no mosquitoes. Everywhere else I've been going lately has been pretty much mosquitopalooza, but not here. Go figure.
And here's one from near Trappers Lake in the Flat Tops. Don't go jumping in your car and heading straight there based on this photo. These were really the only decent flowers I found around there. Other parts of the Flat Tops are looking much better, but I was there in sub-optimal conditions.
The goat shot more than makes up for your lack of clouds, skeeters and flowers ~ as well as the overabundance of morons on Evans. I'm guessing you'll more than compensate in the next 10 days.
Liking the HDR image. Would have been nice if the wind would have died down to give you a mirror reflection.
And I would agree about mosquitopalooza going on in a mountain valley near you. Hopefully it will not be held over for several weeks due to popular demand.

Great job getting the HDR to look natural Todd, cloudless it may be still a nice scene!. I like the greenness of the 2nd image, and that's quite some patch of Indian paintbrushes!.

I'm a bit partial to the wind-blown, fuzzy reflection - so I love #1. Great color image. Would never have guessed HDR. #2 is a killer spot. Might be fun to return someday on a foggy morning.

TELL me about it! Then again, what place wouldn't be fun to return to on a foggy morning?
