Needs a little lift Jeff and maybe a touch of shadow / highlight might help.

Quite a confusing background Jeff, in particular the vertical trunk on the left of the image which could be cropped out. If this was taken from a set up in the garden try re-positioning your hide to give you a more uniform backdrop. If it's not possible to use a natural backdrop try setting up a coloured board a few feet back from the perch. With garden birds that are used to coming to a regular feeding station I find you can pretty much introduce anything providing you do it gradually.

The repost is much nicer, although maybe just a tad more room at the bottom would be nice. Good job.
