I've been away for a little over a week so haven't been posting or commenting, but here's one taken earlier this month. It's a female Black-Tailed Skimmer found early in the morning.

Canon 40D with Sigma 150mm lens, f14, 1/4 sec, ISO 250, MLU, remote release, almost full frame.

1000 pixel version here.

All C+C welcomed.

Nice image Matt - great detail in all the important bits :wavey: :wavey:

Slight magenta cast, or does my monitor need recalibrating?

thanks Andy, I do struggle to spot colour casts sometimes and must admit I can't see this one. I'll have a play with the image tonight and see if I can get it looking any better.

Looks good, might be a slight cast there but its not major, it becomes visible in parts of the 'black' legs...

An excellent, sharp and detailed close-up.

Cool dragon Matt, not sure I'd like condensation on my eyes!
