Got my new lens (Olympus ZD 70-300) and tried it out in the fading light yesterday evening. Original/larger version can be seen on my flickr site (link is below). Any comments/critiques welcome. Thanks in advance for looking.

Well, I like #2 and #4 a lot. The light in the 2nd one is really nice! #1 doesn't do much for me and #3 is kind of a road to nowhere..I'm not really drawn into this image. For #4, this is a fine image but I'd like to see it a little more centered..the left side seems cut off a little too much.

#1 would have been excellent had that daisy faced you or the setting sun.
I like the sidelit plant (#2) quite a bit.

I really like #4!

I think #2 and #4 are awesome shots. #3 might have made it had you stopped down and had the entire road in focus.

Thanks, everyone, for the kind comments. It definitely seems like #2 and #4 are the preferred ones, which is funny because #1 and #3 are mine. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess, right? Thanks again for the comments.

I also like 2 & 4. The other two are too blurry for me, but it could be my eyes recovering from sand.

# 2 for me, I really like the lighting and composition..

3 works backward for me; my eye follows the road from bottom to top, but when it gets to the top, everything is OOF. Maybe leaving the foreground blurry and focusing further down the road would help.

In 4, The thistle bloom breaking the frame on the left is distracting, but I don't really know how to fix it short of cloning it out completely.
