Hummers are Here
And by here I mean down on the front range, saw only one a few weeks ago and today 2 are very active on my feeder so got some first shots. They are incredible fun to watch and a nice challenge to film. Should be a fun time from now on.

More shots at...

What a fine series!
You must have the patience of a saint.

You posted my favorite, although it's a wee bit underexposed (see your histogram).
A slight Levels adjustment will do wonders here.

I'm with John...they're all great, but this one is the best of the lot.

I did get the levels wrong on this one John, well spotted. Thanks for the comments. Hopefully we will get some shots with interaction between the birds but usually that is very hard to film.

Yowza! Nice cleaned-up image!

I like that you dropped the LLH corner and put the emphasis on bird.

Great shots Bill. I love hummingbirds and have ZERO images of them. You have inspired me.

Nice set of images Bill made much better cleaned up. Looks like either a female rufous or an immature male ruffie.

Female rufous I am sure, but they are fairly hard to identify.

Nice Hummer shot Bill, you got pretty close to her, great detail and clarity!.

That rework is a beauty, Bill. Those are tricky little buggers to photograph, aren't they? My wife planted some hummer attracting flowers this year, but they don't seem to be working as advertised. :frown:

Great shot! I like the cleaned up version. Great color and clean background.
