Indian Peaks Wilderness - Colorado

Another image from my visit to the Rollins Pass area last week. The trail from the CDT to King Lake comes down from the left side of the lake in this view. As you can see, it still had quite a bit of snow on it. So I decided to find a vantage point above the lake. I'm thinking about returning here at the end of July. Hopefully most of the snow will have receeded making my hike down in the dark before sunrise a little easier and safer. Thanks for looking and leaving a comment.

Man, I can't believe there's still that much snow. Definitely worth a return trip. I'd work on evening out the brightness in the sky. I would leave the polarizer off for ultrawide scenes like this.

The light is a bit harsh, but it's a pretty scene. I'd love to see this in more subdued lighting. Guy is right about the polarizer. How far of a hike is this, Doug?
