It looks good to me...you have brought out the shadows a bit from the previous shot which is quiet reasonable. other than that I don't see much difference but seems like a very slight increase in saturation.
Looks good Ben. The tones look a little more balanced. The blues in the sky are a bit strong IMO, and draw my attention away from the rest of the scene.
Yeah..I was wondering about the sky. It is pretty close to how I remember it, but I think it might be worth bringing the intensity down a notch. The images above don't show it, but I just warmed up the grass quite a bit by adding some yellow. I think it helps balance the lower half. I'll post the final edit in ESS later this week.
Benjamin, the work on the greens made the image really come to life. The composition was excellent to start with too. I might work the sky just a bit just to see what takes place. Otherwise, looks very good to me all around.

The greens are really noticeable in the adjustment. I agree w/ Paul on the sky it seems to have a lot of cyan in it.
I really like this, Ben. The color pops nicely. As others have said, the sky color looks 'off'. It does look to have touch too much cyan, and the saturation needs to be bumped down a notch or two. This image is worthy of a fine print. Work on the sky, and you've got a 'wall hanger'.
Thanks for your comments, Preston. I will work the sky a little more and remove some of the cyan. This was shot about a year ago in the Snowy Range. It's right outside of Laramie, WY.

8 repliesThanks so much for the input on my last image, and the congrats about the Bixby Bridge shot.
(The greens and orange in that rock are struggling to come through in the jpg...they look much punchier in the full res. )
I'm just curious, but where is this?
