Somewhere in the Elks
Climbed up into a trailless basin this morning for this nice alpenglow sunrise. I hope this looks okay, since things look so different on my laptop.

Looks pretty sweet to me, Todd. I'm at work on a bad laptop but the mountains and sky look a little too bright. As an alternative crop I REALLY like a pano of just the bottom with the reflection.

Well, I'm looking at this on MY laptop, and it looks gooood - albeit a bit light overall. No big deal. I love Bret's crop suggestion, too. Two great images in one!

Yeeehaaa! Nice image. I like that idea about the crop too. Two shots for the price of one. :jump:

Well, in fairness my eyes are still recovering from cornea scratches due to sand flung in them at 50+ mph (must remember those goggles next time) but the reflection here looks odd to me, please correct me if im wrong (i often am) but should the reflection have more contrast and clarity than the reflected object?? Or maybe that's an illusion due to higher saturation in the reflection. The shadowed portions of the reflection have an identical luminosity to the cliffs above, but the sunlit portion is obviously darker in the relfection (as is the sky) This is really messing with my head. But maybe if been spending to much time in LR the last few hours.

This is a sweet scene that's a nice payoff for your trailess explorations. Yeah, the processing seems to be a bit off (the sunlit portion is a little washed out in comparison to the contrasty reflection), but I realize this is just a laptop processing job and you'll get it right when back on your calibrated PC.
