Look at those colours....
As a picture of a pheasant this was not good. The bird was going away from me, and only the back was in focus, but the colours and textures were incredible.

All C&C welcome.

Nikon D300 with Nikon 200-400/F4. 400 mm, 1/320 @ F4, ISO 400, EV 0.

Seems soft and no real focal point, does not work for me, sorry

Your comment, although the pic is not to your taste, is constructive and gives me ideas how to improve.

This is the first pic I,ve looked at this morning and its different, and I quite like it.
It has some good detail and it's colourful- what wrong with that ?

Hi Mike

I think I have to agree with Peter on this one. Nice composition and plenty of texture and colours for the viewer to look at but needs more DOF to work.
