Singing Sedge Warbler
Photograph of a male Sedge Warbler singing away on this lone bulrush,I loved the splash of colour these great willowherb flowers gave to this image, taken on marshland on the dee estuary.

Lovely image, I would be tempted to crop top and bottom by 2 or 3 cm's.

Interesting shot.
I might even suggest a tight vertical crop around the bird. That would lose the willow herb though.

A difficult one to crop, dammed if you do dammed if you don’t, since the flowers are where they are I go with John on a vertical crop, nice picture though.

Glad you left the flowers in. A pity there's no sound to go with it. A cheerful, colourful image.

very nice Craig, I think you made the right decision to keep the flowers. In an ideal world maybe the bird would be a bit more to the left but still a very attractive shot with vibrant colours.

Great pose and setting, i think the green is a bit oversaturated though, i don't mind the flowers but i think the sedge warbler is too far to the right of the frame, try cropping from the left to make it 3:1 vertical

Lovely colors and spring feel to this!
The reed stem seems enormous compared to the bird and makes this different.

Do agree on the composition matter.

Lovely image, where the comp. works fine. Too me it seems a wee bit too saturated though! :wavey:

Maybe a bit too green but that could just be a reflection from my face with envy! Love the way the red mouth draws me eye in
