Black-throated diver displaying
another from my recent visit to Finland, the diver is actually using this as a display to another diver, I guess that the very obviuous black+white markings are clearly seen across the flat water and over distance. I have croppd from the top and kept it deliberatly tight in the frame.

A favourite bird of mine and one that I've spent a lot of time building rafts for in very remote places.
You've shown the markings very well indeed Tight in the frame may not suit all but it doesn't bother me in the slightest, accentuates the markings more if you like

Beautiful pose and detail, I like this because it is very different, very nice.Looked at your website paul and loved your article on dippers, have spent most of the summer there photographing them, so if you where ever short of any dipper shots for the project I'd be pleased to help as its one of my favorite birds, don't want anything in return etc just be happy to help if you are stuck, all the best   :wavey:

Nice shot Paul, your leaflet for the Dippers is spot on, if you ask me, fence the area off, hope you've done a leaflet for dog walkers and ramblers too.
