More flower work
Hi all - been around Aspen for a couple of days; here's a continuation of my blurry flowers work from Crested Butte a couple of weeks ago. This is from the Ashcroft site, which by the way is spectacular, as is the entire length of Castle Creek Road. C&C appreciated!

Very nice work here Nat. I like the DOF isolating the three flower stems. The yellows and blues compliment very nicely. The lighting is good and the flowers have a good dimensional appearance to them.

My only nit with the image is that it feels a little unbalanced. The isolated flowers are weighted to the right in the image and a small crop in from the left side makes the image better balanced.

Nat I am kind of on the fence about this one, I don't dislike but don't really like either....sorry!

Thanks for the feedback - I suspected it was mediocre. What I am excited about here is the potential for placing blurred objects amongst sharp ones. Here are some more examples.

I see where you're going with this, Nat and I like the concept. #2 is my favorite and I love the way the purple blurs frame the main flower. I do find the vertical intersecting stalk a bit distracting though. This post has certainly given me some ideas. Thanks!
