Wasp portrait

the first wasp image I've taken all summer, I've seen very few about until recently. This is a Median Wasp.

Canon 450D with MPE-65 macro lens at around 2x magnification. F11, 1/160, ISO 100, diffused Speedlight on side bracket, handheld.

This sort of shot benefits from being seen a bit larger so here's a 1000 pixel version.

All C+C welcomed.

Superb portrait. I love the water droplet above the wasp's mandibles. Excellent indeed.
