A sub-peak of James Peak reflected in a tarn at the headwaters of South Boulder Creek. James Peak Wilderness.
The flowers were mostly a bit past peak and in small pockets. There were a few mountainsides with good columbine, but they were beat up by weather. The wildflower reports from Indian Peaks have been good, but I would pass on the Rogers Pass drainage if you're after flowers.

That golden glow is mouth-watering delicious, Dave.
It's not just the light, and it's not just the reflection, but the contour of the sub-peak just makes my eyes keep flowing through this shot. Kind of like swimming in honey.
Definitely a shot no one else has, and few have seen. Love the light and reflection. And as Lance so astutely mentioned, that pointy little peak is cool, like an exclamation point on the image.
This may be way off to others...but it reminds of the drama masks, with the happy and sad...the sad being in the reflection...my eyes, too, just keep sliding up and down that 'U'
Love the colors and the mirror reflection. It is difficult to see the variations in the clouds above the peaks. Perhaps bumping the contrast up a little there might help. Otherwise I think it looks great. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, that is some seriously calm water. I really dig the relection and great light. I might follow with Steven and try and use some selective burning to get some better definition in the clouds -- just me, the shot looks great as is.
