Pine Marten II
This is an image of Mum, at first I put the food under a large tree which meant the light was difficult to work with especially as they are so fast. I have tried moving them to a better area but she was wary of this and would not let her youngsters come so she would just grab some food and take it back to them. I love the side lighting on this shot though and I think given enough time the youngsters would come too, so hopefully I will stick at it.

Very nice Danny. Cracking shot. That inquisitive nature has been caught perfectly here. I wonder what she was thinking!! :toast: :toast:

I like the golden glow too, the texture of the hard rock adds a contrast to the soft fur of the animal, and without the colour of the heather it could have been less of a picture, it adds further richness to the overall shot, I'd like to have seen a bit more light on the right side, but I doubt it would hang around while you got a reflector out

I've been trying to think of a funny comment to make, but am just blown away by the pic.

I agree about a little more light being preferable on the right, but would I like to have taken this? Oh yes...

I like it Danny and as usual great image, but I do feel that the contrast is too much as it is at the moment. May be you can recover this in PP.

I just can't believe you can get something that nice for the price of a jam sandwich. I'd scarifice more than a few of my lunches for a shot like that.

Top drawer, Danny. The splash of colour below gives it a lot of personality.
