Del Norte State Park, California.

Shrubbery under the redwoods glistens with dew.

Lately I've been trying to remind myself to look down occasionally. These clovers caught my eye while I was on a trail primarily looking nice Rhodies. I liked the repeating patterns and the jewel-like dew drops.

Opinions? Suggestions? Thanks for looking!

Mat, wow look at all of these drop scattered around your frame. Did you bring a mist gun with you j/k. You do have an intruder on the bottom left coming into the frame. Not sure wether you can clone it out or not. Still a very intimite scene of the bottom of the forest floor.

So lush! Love the greens and the fresh dew drops. A very refreshing image, Mat.

Mat,

Considering that everything is dry brown here (including the sky, because of the Knight fire), this lush and wonderfully detailed image is nice on the eyes! I agree about the little intruder on the left corner.

Print it!

Great repeating patterns and shapes throughout Mat. As PB said, the green is really nice on these eyes as well.

Thanks for the comments guys. The processed JPEG has been sitting on my HD for a while, but I think I had problems cloning out the intruder when I originally processed this. I'll have to try again. It's annoying because I usually notice those types of things in the field!

I know what you mean about stopping to look down and take in the details. I can't imagine how many fine images I've walked past or over throughout the years. The clover shapes and water droplets make for an interesting subject to study. I might even prefer a tighter crop to eliminate the other different species poking through the blanket of clover. I'd have to see that to be sure though. Nice work!
