The atmosphere is great, the action captured, the rain is visible - sounds like a grand day out! Your perseverence has paid dividends. We see too many sunlit images, and you'd be forgiven for imagining that wildlife sits tucked up out of the cold and wet when the reality is thats a human weakness, and for wildlife bad weather is just business as usual. I like this image a lot!
Agree with John, like this a lot, your best of the series, like the lighting on the trout, the blurred wingtips, the falling rain, the sharp head, all of these elements come together to make this a great shot!!!
Just noticed something bottom left hand corner drawing the eye a touch maybe worth cloning out.

Brilliant shot, love how your eye is drawn straight to the Osprey, which is nice and sharp with just enough blur on the wings.

Miserable day, beautiful photograph. I agree with Craig that this is probably the best of the series so far.
Nice to see a different result with this species. The rain obviously adds a different dimension and the space containing the oof habitat gives context without being too intrusive. V nice.
The detail I like most about this shot is the minor juxtaposition of water - the still drops of water shed by the rising osprey and the downward speed of the rain; it was pelting.
I have always maintained that rain can produce the most wonderful images, and you have proved it here. Very nice images indeed, your patience has paid dividends.
