Sparrow Hawk
He suddenly saw something coming in over the hide from the back .
I couldn,t see it and he shot off. A few minutes later there's another potential martin grabber on site !

Yet another great image from 'The Master', timed to perfection IMHO. Keep them coming, they are great inspiration even in the macro world.

A great series this one, John. Looking forward to seeing some more in coming weeks.
Thanks both. That's about it really unless something spectacular happens. There are hundreds not processed yet, and people can only stand so much. !
David - really !- I think you mean "Mister " !! Thanks anyway
Here's what came in. There's been so much rain that pools were forming at the bottom of the nesting face. This heron landed in and straightaway sat motionless looking at the lower holes.
Its a shame but I had to cough and unfortunately he went off
Rubbish shot but another part of the story
Cheers
John
This really is an exceptional series of pictures, made even better by the quality of the light, that warm glow that comes from the reflected light coming from the reddish sand, truly wonderful.
