Moon over Enid
I went out Wednesday evening to shoot the sunset, but heavy clouds to the west obscured the sun . . . so I shot the moon instead.

40D
1400mm (500mm + stacked 1.4 + 2.0 tcs)
f/11
1/40s
ISO 200
Full Frame

Full screen! That's a real closeup. I like it! I bet that was fun trying to keep up with the moon or trying to get ahead of it with 1400mm.

whoa whoa whoa, you were going to shoot the sunset? That doesn't sound like you. Was there a bird involved or something?

Pretty cool Daniel! I'm with Matt on this one, you're venturing out on us  No a bird in sight and such a nice shot!

Sorry about venturing into non-avian venues . . . don't know what got into me? Would you believe I was trying to capture a Nighthawk and the moon got in the way?

Very nice work Daniel. Excellent sharpness given the combination of equipment used. We'll forgive you this once for stepping outside your traditional genre.
