It’s been a tough summer for macro photography. The dry conditions reduced the flower production and many of the flowers weren’t all that great and didn’t last very long. Even worse we seem to have had constant winds all summer. Last week came the first break. We had heavy dew in the morning. I found this fellow on a Heal-all flower.
Shot with a Nikon D80, Sigma 180 macro lens and a complement of extension tubes.
Good catch glad you got a break you could take advantage of. Interesting view.

Sweet capture. Supplementary light - flash? I know what you mean by the summer, although we enjoyed the temps and relatively low humidity. Can't remember a July where we left the windows open 24/7 as much as we did this past July with no use of AC. A trade off.
