Cormorants in Silhouette
I found these cormorants in a tree above a creek in the Great Salt Plains. Lighting was awful so I made it into a high contrast silhouette.

Hey Daniel, that guy on the right seems to be having a good time!

Good idea to go with a silhouette here Daniel. I like the action of the right most bird.

p.s. There are several dust spots visible in the bg ... a little cloning or perhaps time to clean the sensor.

Wayne - I had just cleaned the sensor the night before, but I had a few lens changes afterwards in less than pristine conditions. Frankly, I wasn't looking for them and so missed them completely. Most of my work is done with large apertures and so the little dust bunnies don't usually show up. You have good eyes. Thanks.

Nice idea for handling the harsh lighting!

Dan,
I have been thinking about this photo since you posted. For some reason it reminds me of the Birds movie by Hitchcock. Kind of spooky. Unique certainly.
