Located in Indian Creek just upstream from Tunnel Cave Falls. I have been calling it Indian Creek Falls. I am working on something and would like to have a name for it. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts.
Sounds like a good name to me - although is it #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, or ? Normally if a waterfall is the only one in a particular drainage, then that works just fine, but there are so many on Indian Creek that it probably deserves its own unique name. It is the waterfall at the end of the box canyon so perhaps that would be a good name - Box Canyon Falls. Until a name sticks you can call it whatever you like! (and afterward too) There is no official name for this waterfall that I know of.
I actually like Box Canyon Falls, I may add an "at Indian Creek" to it, maybe. I would like to include the Indian Creek name in it some way or another so people will have an idea of where it is. We don't really have a shortage of box canyon's here in Arkansas
I thought about the name being too broad since that place is so full of waterfalls. I was surprised this one wasn't mentioned in the guidebook, it was a pleasant surprise when I found it though.
I just thought of this, how about "End of the Trail Falls?" this is the end of the trail for most people . Or even "Climbing Rope Falls" I did use the rope that is right next to this falls to climb up. Just thoughts. Maybe I can get some more opinions from other people as well.

Whatever you decide to call it this is a nice shot Matthew. I like this one.
I'm sure this falls already has dozens of pet names given by many hikers and photographers so you can name it anything you like - short names with just one or two words seem to work best though.
There are thousands of unnamed waterfalls in Arkansas, and hundreds of great ones that were not included in the guidebook - the guidebook contains a sampling of the best, that's all, not a complete list, which would be impossible to produce and would cost a great deal of money to produce and purchase. I photographed over 500 waterfalls for the guidebook, including at least a dozen in Indian Creek. Most of them did not get names until they were selected for the book, and then I had to come up with something! I even changed the name of one waterfall from the original printed version (the black and white edition) to the second version (color edition, as they all are now) - found a new perspective of the falls and the new name just screamed out at me so I had to change it...

I'm with Wayne. Call it what you like, but I'd call it framed
Thanks everyone. This is a 3 shot stitch cropped square from the little D40 I had borrowed. Taken in the middle of last April. I still don't know what I will call it.
Yea Tim I understand that they can't all be in the book. There are probably over 30 just along the North Fork Cadron Creek when the water is up, and that isn't exactly waterfall country. My plans next year actually include not using your guidebook as much. I really want to explore some of the other drainage's that aren't visited quite so much. Your book will actually still get used for much of that though. For some reason Pruitt Hollow keeps calling my name. Have you spent any time exploring in there?
