Gotta admit, I never even thought of this little feature.

Nikon Coolpix point-&-shoot w/built-in projector

Watch the video.

That is pretty darn cool, I wonder how good the projection is and how far away it can project from!. Amazing what they've been adding to digital cameras the past year, HD video.....

I had to do it. Even though Amazon is reputable, even the best get sucked into a scam once in a while. It turns out that they didn't. It is real. http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Product/Digital-Camera/26186/COOLPIX-S1000pj.html.

Just imagine the batteries that this little baby will go through if you actually use that feature.

I've been waiting for this technology to hit the market ever sense they presented it at CES in 2008. There have been a few pocket sized projectors about the size of a itouch/iphone that have been recently released. I travel a lot and thought it would be cool to have one to watch movies, view pictures or whatever from my itouch or laptop on the road. One of the coolest features it that there is no focus wheel like a normal projector. It's always in focus no matter the distance you are projecting. I kind of figured it would be much more expense when they first came out.

Too cool.

How freakin' COOOOL! Wonder what the IQ is like? Eventually, we might be able to stream TV, movies or whatever through a laptop, project the image anywhere, and the entertainment center/TV/DVD/associated huge mess of cords and cables will be obsolete (????).

Cool picks! I suppose it has to be fairly dark, and then I don't know if I could hold it steady enough, but I guess your could set it on a table or something.
