Just some leaves in a local creek that caught my attention.

You certainly found some bold eye catching colors Dan. I like the soft light too.

Dan,
Really like the variety of leaves and color mix. One of the first thoughts that crossed my mind was KR64. The colors look natural and look "before Velvia."
I'm lookin' for that one, single leaf for my eye to get a rest, but I haven't found it yet. I'll keep looking. I do like this very much.
I like it, both the subject and the composition. At first thought I kept thinking "I wonder what this would look like with more contrast", but after being stuck in that thought for a while realized the way its presented really gives me a strong impression of a cloudy/foggy day, and that coupled with the rest of the image really rounds things out perfectly for me.
What a nice collection of shapes and color. While it didn't necessarily wow me upon first glance the more I study this the more I like it. I'm especially drawn to the patterns emanating from the upper left third of the image. I tighter crop from that area might be nice too. Well seen and captured!

I find it intresting that your focus has shifted to more intimate subjects.
Nice job!
