Another Puffin
Hi Guys

Just been trawling through some of my many images taken in the Farne Islands back in May 2009. Quite like this one, all comments welcome.

Canon 1D Mark III, 300mm f/2.8 @ f/5.6, ISO 200, 1,2000sec

Thanks for looking

nicely captured Steve, a classic incoming Puffin shot. I can see halos around the bird on my monitor, perhaps from sharpening or lifting of the shadows.

I like this too. You could maybe frame him a bit more off centre to the right and up a bit so he's flying into the picture.

I love this angle of coming into land! You have lots of detail too; I have to really stare and search to find halos, but then my eye sight isn't that wonderful

Great pose, the only distraction is the halo. Tristan

Agree about the halo but a very nice image nonetheless. :toast:

nits covered - like the pose, know how difficult to capture these coming in on the Farnes, I'd be pretty happy with this.

cheers

Lovely image, just a shame about the halo
