I came to visit the beautiful state of CO in mid July with some friends (most of them having never been there). We camped at mm13 on Kebler Pass near Crested Butte. Although i spent most of my time being a typical tourist and not much of a photog (been there, done that a buncha times), i have a few pix to share with you. Thanks for being a great host state for our week! We had a ball and are already planning next year's trip!

Lost Lake sunset. We tried for about 3 hours to catch fish and didn't have much luck. Of course the 8 year olds around us were catching tons of fish!

This Peruvian shepherd and his 12 dogs were hanging out on Kebler my first morning. He herded them a couple miles down Kebler before pulling the flock to the side so cars could get through. There were cars trying to pass me so they could go through the flock (before he pulled them to the side). It was pretty funny when they got stuck in the middle of 500 sheep! As i tried to pass at this point one of his sheep dogs tried to herd me!!

Last one. This was a handheld sunset shot. I was trying to teach my friends composition and how to use ND filters. Meanwhile, they were also using my tripod, hence the slightly blurred moon. i still like the colors though so i'm gonna keep it.

No, you tell people the moon is blurred cbecause it's moving through space so fast! From following your Colorado adventure on FB, it seems you had a nice time.

Looks like good times Amy Really enjoyed all your shots here. Looks like they could handle more sharpening. Love the sheepherding shot and story.

Hi Amy,
Welcome to Colorado! I'm glad you had a great time.
You must have been in Crested Butte at the same time I was! I saw these sheep being herded east on Kebler Pass Road when I was there. Had to stop my car....they were running past both sides of my car. It was so cool!
Nice sunset shots. And I really like the one from Gothic, too. Like you, I can't wait until next year. Thanks for sharing those.
