She's been an indoor cat for the first 3 years of her life, in a 600 sq ft condo on the third floor. I moved this June and I dont think Wiley could be any happier. Unfortunately, because she had never spent time outside, she isnt aware of how "normal" cats should act. She gallops after birds that are 30 feet away, and apparently walks right up to deer. Caught this a few mornings back while getting ready for work, Thought I would share.

Rylan,
Looks like they are having a staredown. You don't see this to often and that looks like a pretty big deer. My nit, and you probably just want to show and tell with this one, is that blurry tree top obscuring part of the cat.

I see mutual curiosity with some reservations. Very cute photo, Rylan. I'm glad you put it up.

Very whimsical photo Rylan, good catch!
On a more serious note, I don't mean to be a downer, but be very watchful of Wiley out there.
Where there are deer, there are also coyotes.
My cat Max got out in May. He was a very capable cat, but I chose to keep him indoors because I thought it wasn't safe outside. I was right.
A neighbor across the pond called us 2 weeks after he got out. He got our # from Max's collar, told us we didn't want to go down there and look. We didn't.
Got a new kitten named Pepper, and she's beautiful, but it still doesn't diminish my sense of loss over Max.
Anyway, just be careful Rylan. Hopefully Wiley will live to be at least 20 years!

Yeah, we're aware and we try to be as careful as possible. We always keep our fingers crossed.

I also don't want to be a downer, but cats killing songbirds is a huge problem.

Cool shot though! :toast:
