Gannet Pair
Hello

This image was inspired by Tim Gregory's "Stormy Colony" post on this forum a few months back. I wanted to get a wide angle view, whilst taking in some of the colony and the environment.

I was around 2ft from this pair, sat on my backside in 4 inches of guano and mud in the pouring rain, but it was worth it.

Very nice shot , its both busy and intimate .I would liked another 15% on the top as the crop is a little close to the bird on the right, a tad more detail in the bottom right shadows would help the balance, well worth the muck and bullets though.

I like the moody atmosphere the lighting imparts. Beautiful colouring of the birds. Excellent.
