He was right you know!
Went to Vedauwoo for sunset last night and then to Snowy Range for sunrise, but the best bit was that after sunrise, with the help of Brett, we were able to find 3 bull moose.

Excellent.

and now the artists impression?!

That last moose image is brilliant! Fantastic pose and effect! I'm assuming this is an underexposed version of the 2nd moose shot based on the pose. Love the 1st landscape as well!

Brett was certainly right on with his tip...what a gigantic creature!!! I agree the last interpretation is fantastic :toast:

I really like the lake reflection. For me, moose are difficult to photgraph because they are so dark. You certainly used the light to your advantage on the last one. Nice

Great stuff Bill, I really dig the artist impression on the last one.

Yes! They're all great, but that last one takes the cake! Well done, Bill!

Great shots. It was nice to finally meet you.

While I enjoy the artistic interpretation of the last one, the original from whence it came is just amazing!
The rimlighting is superb, and it appears that condensation is coming from its nostrils (?).
This is a very special shot, Bill. Congratulations on being there!

Mike, nice to finally meet you too!

John, you could see their breath at times yes. Thanks. Here is a pano I did from lake Marie FYI.

The pano. is a much more complete and visually satisfying version of your first image.
You might consider 'losing' the spot of light in the pines on the left.
I meant to make a mention of the reflected moon in the water earlier, so I'll do it now.

Exceptional work!

Wow, those are fantastic! I love the last one of the moose. I love all of the ones of the moose lol. Awesome. I think I like the pano shot of the lake better.

The pano and the artist expression get votes for #1 of a set of very nice work.

Bill, it was very nice meeting you on Saturday. You captured some great moose images! I love #'s 2 and 3 - great processing on #3. The Lake Marie pano is also excellent. I'm delighted that with only a few hours of time to spend in the Snowies you were able to quickly find and photograph 3 bull moose. Let's do it again sometime.

Brett, without your eagle eyes finding moose in the first place I wouldn't have even been there.

Thanks from all of us.

Love that last image! Very unique. I have been trying to get some moose. May have to head up there soon. How long is the drive?
Posted by bill meikle on August 12, 2009 at 1:59 PM
2 hours from Fort Collins Dan, if the roads aren't busy.

All, including the pano are excellent!
