I am in the process of moving from a windows PC to an Apple Mac Pro.
There are conflicting reports what the consequences are with regards to the CS4 licence.
I tried to call Adobe but after waiting for 30min I gave up.
Can someone tell me if Adobe will grant/swap the windows licence for a Mac licence?
And at what cost?
Thanks

You can swap at the cost of the additional media and a lot of torn hair.

You need to contact Adobe customer service - register on their website (if not already done) and then fill in a customer care request. You'll need to provide them with both your PC CS4 license number and a signed copy of a LOSD (letter of Software Destruction) which they'll send to you. Once they've recieved that back, they'll then raise an order for the appropriate item/cost. If your PC CS4 is an upgrade from a previous version, then they'll probably also want to know the preceeding serial number, and possibly any others before that too (potentially back to your original purchase). I had to provide serial numbers for both my original PC Elements and PC CS2 upgrade.

It's a pain in the backside, and Adobe deserve to loose customers through it :argue: - it took me several weeks to chase the cross-platform switch through their system... so I would leave yourself plenty of time if you've work to do....

Once you get there, they issue a completely new license and set of media. I would make sure you keep all details of your old PC versions for future reference for when you want to upgrade CS4...
