Lovely detailed image Ian. What is the oof stuff at right? It looks like one of those kiddies Lego characters we used to get (maybe still do).

Beautiful flight shot - great exposure - am curious about the right too - cliff perhaps? :toast:

It's always intrigued me when people say the subject needs room to fly into. It can't, its frozen in time and space   Compositionally though this image looks fine. A very nice capture.

Hi,

Robert Kim : the OFF stuff is the cliff at Bempton, I did try to remove it but it looked rubbish

David : I usually like em big in the frame as well but thought I would try one a little different

Lovely! I like the pose of the bird and the comp. Not so sure about the green bit - I think it would be improved without it as the viewer doesn't really get the impression it is a cliff or other relevant background. The bird itself is strong enough to stand alone.

I like the repost a lot more, the small amount of vegetation really works and getting him to look your way is a bonus!
