We wanted to announce to our NPN friends the opening of a Gallery Showing at the Four Season's Hotel and Resort in Westlake Village, California on Friday, October 16th.
The show will run for 3 months and feature Harley Goldman, Steve Sieren and your's truly, Lon Overacker. Not everything is finalized yet - in fact there are other artists and we don't know who everyone else is yet. Maybe it's someone else from NPN???
More information to follow, but if you're in Southern California on the 16th of October, you're invited to opening night.
Can't speak for Steve or Harley, but this is my very first show. I'm pretty excited about it and much of my motivation to get off my duff and do something is due in large part to the folks here at NPN. I've made many new friends and appreciate the support and kick in the behind very much. Thanks!

Good for you, Lon. Your wonderful images will surely enhance the style of that place.
Are your best images printed, and framed already? If not, you may be in for a lot of work and expense. I've spent nearly two thousand $ on custom frames for a show, and that is just for the frames and fancy glass. I printed, matted and assembled all the pieces myself. That's why I kept my day job.

Sweet... I hope there is a reception where all you guys will be present on one day. I'd love to swing by and look at all the fine work and meet everyone. Keep us posted on the details.
Not having done a public showing before, I can after recently opening up a little studio in a local gallery appreciate the up front costs and work it takes. I wish you all much success and a good time!

Thanks Lon for posting this information here at the CANP forum too. I'm sure it will be a well received show with the many quality images you all have collectively to share. Good luck and really enjoy the experience of the outing as well

Jeffrey, Nope, don't have them framed or even printed yet. I'm printing 20x24 and I don't have any of that size laying around the house. It is a big expense, but I've been working things out and have got the cost per print pretty low - relatively speaking of course. Let's just say I'll probably spend on 1/4 or what it would cost to have a frame shop do this... and yep, all the assembly will be done myself.
Congratulations guys. I'd love to see all of your work in person, but living in the north bay makes the drive a bit long. Sounds exciting. If nothing else, it would be great if you posted some images of the show in CANP.

Congratulations to all who are participating. Living in Northern CA, I don't know
if I'll make it to the exhibit. Perhaps you'll have a follow up show somewhere north
of Fresno some time in the future.
