Haven't done a lot of personal shooting lately, but I did manage to explore one of my favorite stretch of rocks the other day in Corona del Mar under overcast skies. This was the result. Once you notice the small sea snails and granules of sand, it becomes a little more apparent as to what exactly one's looking at (a little hard at this size though).
As always, any comments, suggestions or critiques are always welcomed.
Cheers!

Eric,
Excellent! Right up my alley. You should post over in ES&S. The overcast light usually does great in allowing the rich colors to come through and that's certainly the case here.
I love the colors and patterns.
Seriously awesome abstract. I took something somewhat similar on a trip there myself some time ago, but it didn't work as well The diagonals here are great! Lon's right - why not post in ESS, they'd love this!

Looks good Eric. All of the texture images many of you have posted really have me realizing what I'm missing. Good catch!

Nice abstract Eric. The wet and dry patches and the squiggly lines make for some really nice contrast. Great to see you working with the available light. Good inspiration too.
Thanks everyone for all the feedback. I'm slowly noticing myself gravitating more and more to this type of photography. It's kind of nice to slow down and notice the finer details. Maybe I'll polish up a the Raw file and post it over in ES&S... this is after all just a down and dirty jpeg.

"Flyover" works great as a title. Great eye.

Beautifully done, Eric!
This really looks images of Jupiter's atmosphere. If it weren't for the snails and small rocks, I'd have been stumped. Nie abstract.
