I found this old lodgepole pine back in late July up near Sonora Pass. The light reflected off of nearby granite gave perfect fill. I really had to work the tilts and swings on this one due to various planes of the subject. It was fun, though!

I am very interested in your thoughts on this one.

I'm headed back up there next week. WaHoo!

Preston, your excellent adjustments paid off big time on this one. The complete view is crisp throughout. The lighting is perfect here too. Very nice. :toast:

Impressive Texture Preston - sharp and clear top to bottom. Came over the pass yesterday late afternoon. Light was interesting - must go back with time to spend.

Textures and colors look very nice here. I can only imagine how good this would look in print or on the light table. Good stuff!

Really like the detailed textures and colors. I find the brown at top left a little heavy, so I might favor a little top crop. But I am usually out there alone in my tastes, so take it with a grain of salt. :)

Great to see you posting again, my friend!!!! :toast: :toast:

Preston,

So you made this one without me eh?
What stands out for me after immediately enjoying the color, texture and light, is the viewpoint. I like the "looking down" perspective and it definitely tells me you went through some challenging movements to get this sharp top to bottom.

The color and sat look spot on to me. Right up my alley Preston.

I like the sharp details in the texture, the warm color and the way the light falls off at the end creating an extra third portion to the image.

This one still makes me feel like I'm looking at an upside down image, even though you showed me the tree; under the dark cloth, ya know? :jump:
