Roosting Small Copper
Hi all,

Took this one this morning. This was my target species although I wasn't really expecting to find one, they're actually really well camouflaged little things when their wings are closed, the colours match the grasses perfectly.

Thanks for looking,

Lewis.

Nice work Lewis. I've never found one roosting. Tack sharp and background blur is spot on.
Cheers

Cracking shot, took a few the other day - sadly they don't look like this! The detail is éxcellent - love the setting and background.

That is superb Lewis. Great detail and so sharp. It is a good advert for the use of a tripod and natural light in the early mornings.

Thanks for sharing.
