Yesterday I went out with the purpose of catching a few dragonflies and found this little creature, which I believe is very rare in the North of England. Took it at Whixall Moss, Shropshire. Never taken anything before that is on/under water. C & C welcome for future opportunities!!

I have not seen such a spider before Kim, so thanks for posting.
Maybe a polariser would have helped remove the glare on the waters surface but I am no expert.
Cheers

great colour and setting, i've only seen one once, great little creatures though, if you ever find it again low angle shots might be interesting
Nice shot of quite a rare beasty nowadays, Whixall is one of the best spots to find them, along with all sorts ofo ther nice things on the mosses. well done

Nice work Kim, a polarizer is good advice, I've used it recently when photographing snakes around the water and it really makes a difference.
Kind regards,
Brett

Many thanks for all the comments and the suggestions. I would have liked it with a better POV but could not get any lower down than I was - short of swimming.!! Will look into Polarisers - and thanks for the suggestion.
