Hi all.
Another image taken up in the Cairngorms. Spent a couple of mornings up near Lochindorb to see if the Red Grouse were active. First day not much activity and best shot I could get was away from the grouse looking over the loch at three Black Throated divers. Second morning the grouse were out and about, but so were the midges. Using the car as a mobile hide and rolling down the window briefly to brave the midge onslaught I managed a few images (why has the only good repellants got Deet in them which do not agree with any sort of camera plastic) .
I think you might need to add a bit of sharpening to the bird only Ben,as it doesn't look that crisp to me, especially around the head. Also if you had got it in the heathers as it's out now, it would have worked much better, as I find the grass a little too vibrant.
FYI try one of the products from 'Avon Lady' it does work, so I have been told

It looks a pleasant enough image Ben and like the use of the fstop.
Why mess about making your own. Skin so Soft seems to work and the smell aint that bad either.

Skin so soft no longer works I am afraid. They changed the formula so unless you have older bottles you might become a pin cushion!!!
Thanks for comments.

Nice to see in long grasses rather than heather moorlands. Other nits already covered.
