Took a little Kansas road trip last week. Through the flint hills, smokey hills and ended up here in the gypsum hills. Yep, Kansas sure is flat.

umm, you sure you're in Kansas :)?, interesting scene, and yet another area I need to add to my list of places to go, I like the color and clouds you got in the sky, goes well with the rest of the scene

This is very nice Brad! I love all the color and the different layers add so much dimension to this image.

This is amazing!! I've been in the Gyp hills a couple of times, but never been able to bring home a shot like this!
I bet this makes it into Kansas! Magazine...

What rich and verdant colors. The Gypsum hills are cousins to the ones in Western Oklahoma, the so-called Gloss Mountains (for the shiny Selenite gypsum found there). However, the one's in Kansas have more lush vegetation on and around them. I really love the salmon sky above as it brings out the subtle reds and pinks in the buttes. Kansas Magazine better snatch this one up.

I'd be willing to wager that this scene photographed at the height of fall color would be equally as strong an image if not moreso.

Who said Kansas was flat anyway? Great shot Brad, I bet you got a bunch of good ones from Kansas' flat lands, especially since it is so green this year. The Gyp Hills are a great location if you can find a spot from the public roads. This is a super representation. My first impression however was that you could back off the saturation a little bit, at least on my monitor.

Great shot, Brad. Love the composition, detail and color. The sky's not too shabby either.
