Super aren't they.... very nice image of this 'dark' male, only minor nit is there seems a lack of detail in the eye... Brett will probably be able to say why.....

I asked Brett about this snake Phil - the eye was really very dark and quite uniform, Brett thinks its due to him being about to slough.

Perhaps I should have put that in the post

an excellent shot Andy, very well taken. I've still never had the pleasure of seeing one of these beauties.

Not bad for a D3...  :jump:
Love the way you used the DOF and how the coiled up body shows.

Really nice sheen on all those scales Andy and he is one mean looking dude.. Liked it when you you asked for comment and still like it. The lack of 'eye' detail doesn't bother me to much as it shows me something else that is going on.. But for those that don't know I guess it's worth mentioning..

Nice work and glad you decided to share these with us.

Is that a benevolent or malevolent smile on it's face? I suppose it is down to what you think of snakes, and I think they're great, like this image.

very nice Andy, love the composition and coils, I notice there is a bit of brown in him, most of the males I have seen this year have been very grey-black

stunning shot, one of the best adder shots i've seen, love the the coils and the dark eye for me is the icing on the cake, makes it just a little bit sinister, can't enthuse enough about this image
