I am a lover of monochrome and for me this works well, like the composition and the detail in the bird is very good,nice work

like Craig says the composition and detail are good here, i also quite like the bleakness of the image, if there was perhaps a way of enhancing that feel it might work better, as it stands though it feels like it lacks something for me

Nice comp & details with good surroundings.
nits covered, perhaps a little brightening woul give it more impact.
