Can I PLEASE brag a little??
Hey friends i am so excited about my first real PUBLICATION! :smile:
I've just been notified that I won first place in Popular Photography Your Best Shot! But the best news is I also got the cover for October's subscriber edition of the magazine. I am so freekin excited I can't even tell you! Then they top it of with a big fat check as well. I encourage you to send out your stuff...it really does pay in the end. Attached is my winning image. Thankyou for letting me celebrate this big moment for me! :biggrin:

It's definitely a fantastic shot Cheryl and a much deserved accolade. Just a cautionary note, you may want to check with the editor about disclosing the fact it's been chosen as the cover 1 month before it ships. I've had a couple of cover shots with Vermont Magazine (tiny by comparison) and each time the editor gave me the heads up he/she requested I keep it to myself until the issue shipped.

Wow everyone What great support! Thanks so very much and Kurt,lets hope theres no problem. I spoke with them personally as well so I.m thinkin it's good. Sept issue already came out last week so I'll be countin the days!!!
