I spent some time with this Great Blue Heron after trying for some sunrise images this morning. The heron was very cooperative, posing on one leg for 20 minutes before I left.

Nice capture Wayne...he does look like he is doing some martial art poses! I've always thought that GBH's looked like "shady characters"...this shot just reinforces my feelings! Thanks for sharing it.

Beautiful soft light and color, Wayne, and what a great pose! It's pretty amazing how still these birds can be. They probably would not be very successful fishermen if they weren't...
